Our goal is to provide resources, goods and services that improve the quality of life. We focus on necessities, like clean water, and sustainable solutions, like solar power.We hope to be of service to underserved markets.

Providence began in 2009, when Lex Henkels and Mike Shor realized they had common objectives and joined forces. Partnering with innovative leaders in solar power, pump technology, ultra-efficient irrigation techniques, wastewater remediation and water filtration, Providence delivers systems that can save lives.

With a worldwide network of sources, Providence also offers staples such as rice and cooking oil. refurbished medical equipment, and building materials.

Mike Shor

Mike Shor has over twenty years in banking and investment banking experience, having held Senior Vice President positions at Morgan Stanley, Wachovia and Sun Trust Bank. He has strong ties with the US State Department and other sections of the US government. Other government-related work includes initiatives with west African governments at the presidential and ministerial level. Mr. Shor was the Founder of the Potomac Technology Index while a Senior Vice President at Wheat First Butcher Singer. Mike is CEO of Global Integrated Solution, an international trade and consulting firm. He sits on the Board of several corporations.

Alexander (Lex) Henkels formed the Ardley Corporation in 2005, to develop a network of reliable trade partners throughout the world. Mr. Henkels developed his appreciation for the power of a worldwide network while working for the Associated Press in New York. Later he became a photo editor and manager for the Philadelphia Inquirer. Mr. Henkels also served as a volunteer president and member of the investment committee of a mental health foundation. Lex left the Inquirer in 1995 to explore the possibilities of the Internet, online marketing and advertising. While helping one company create an international footprint, he developed contacts that would lead to the formation of Providence Trade and Development.
